The Radio Road Warehouse was a study in hurricane resistant design that took building technology to the next level. The building is designed to accept wind speeds of over 180 miles per hour and flooding based on a 100-year storm. This is accomplished using a laterally braced horizontal girder system to strengthen the building shell and anchor it to its extensive foundation system.
